Overview : Although still suffering from occasional panic attacks and nightmares, Loki has learned to manage his mental health and is recovering steadily.

Born and raised in an ever changing world, Loki has become immune to change. Withstanding a lifestyle that constantly shifts means he is highly adaptable, both physically and mentally. The Alpha has been through much turmoil and faced great loss, but these experiences have only strengthened him. Having seen it all, very little wavers this soldier. He is rarely caught off guard, constantly aware of his surroundings and environment. Strong but callused by life, Loki faces life with his ears erect and paws ready. Despite many challenges, the one thing this Alpha didn't loose during the dark ages was his compassion. Especially to the young and vulnerable. He feels a sense of responsibility for the youth of Vale, and always ensures one eye is kept on them as he goes about his business. He despairs when other's are grieving and wishes to do what he can to prevent them from facing the horrors of his own past. He takes great interest in the education and training of the Squires and participates whenever he is able. His pack are his family and his family is his life. Loki would die a thousand times over to protect his loved ones, and he feels a constant burning dedication to Vale as a whole. Having been with them in the worst of times, the male has developed a bond unlike no other with his pack, and now with his new title as Alpha, the soldier's commitment has never been stronger. Constantly alert and vigilant, Loki works tirelessly to maintain Valearian borders and ensure the safety of those within.

As he has aged, Loki's once spontaneous nature has dampened into a more calm and logical approach. The male thinks through things carefully and is certainly one to make plans before diving in head-first. The darker days have wizened the one bore-headed youngster, and Loki has grown into a finely tuned soldier ready for whatever life can throw at him. He is intellectual and cunning, having experienced a lot in a short amount of time. And although he makes for a deadly foe, if conclusions can be made without blood-shed, Loki will abide. The world is tainted, and Loki has a very jaded view on it. Having been through much trauma, he finds it difficult to let his guard down. In fact, he is always on edge. Rarely getting a thorough sleep, the male spends majority of his time patrolling and scanning the territory, almost fanatical about his pack's well being and determined to ensure they are safe. He, much like the rest of Vale, has separated himself from the outside world, and rarely interacts with wolves other than those within his borders. And if he does by chance run into a stranger, it will take much for him to come to trust them.

Loki feels as though he has failed many in his life, and therefore, has a wavering self-esteem level. Undermining his important in the pack, Loki rarely takes the time to think of himself. His outward appearance displays much of this, having a rugged pelt and hollow eyes from lack of sleep. Although maintaining a rather respectful aura, one must not mistake him as a pushover. He will not stand for disrespect or rudeness, especially from the lesser or subordinate. Although once he bore a light playfulness that softened much of his behaviour, Loki has hardened significantly in his age. He has seen the horrors of war and felt the bite of torture and betrayal. A sense of humor is certainly not completely absent, rather weakened. Loki finds it very difficult to lighten up or relax, and has a stern resting face. He is honest and sincere, believing one should be transparent with their family, for secrets tend to fester and only make things all the worse. Perhaps one day he will re-connect with his fun-loving side, but alas, the scars of war remain.

Having to withhold grudges, Loki is not one to forgive and forget. Once, he deemed death as a last resort, but the threats of battle have dulled his merciful streak. When it comes to the black watch and all that contributed to Vale's fall, Loki is bitter and vengeful. In fact, sometimes he debates whether or not to hunt those wolves down and make them suffer like he did. This vindictive beast within emerged in Roan's death, to which he holds no regrets. So whilst he may appear calm and collected outwardly, inside, he has a burning hatred and desire to wipe those who wronged him from existence. Socially, Loki finds it hard to interact with those around him. Although not necessarily disconnected, the male finds little to speak about and tends to spend his days alone, walking amidst the trees. There are only a selected few that he spends time with and considers close friends, but after months of isolation and despair, he struggles in large groups. He is more of a quiet observer, watching his family from the sidelines and only jumping in when they have need of him. But in general, he is quite oppressed, recalling the pain from his past and dwelling in his failures. If only things could have been different....Months of cruel treatment and relentless betrayals has soured this soldiers mind. When meeting new company, he automatically adopts a negative opinion. Tending to read a book by it's cover, Loki finds it difficult to trust anyone outside of his own pack and family. He is bias, only holding his pack in high regard and tending to shun others. Unknown or unfamiliar wolves will need to work hard to gain this soldier's trust. He has many doubts and reservations about newcomers, and takes a long time to warm, and even then, very few wolves experience him at his true self. Loki remains almost permanently guarded.

HISTORY

---

Born far from the domain to his mother Jade, this young male grew up a loner. Having been abandoned by their mother at a very early age, himself and his elder brother Codiac were forced to acclimatize rapidly to a harsh lifestyle. Hunting and learning together, their skills soon sharpened and the pair were eventually able to travel longer distances until they stumbled upon the packs. Being sociable and reliant on others, Loki sought out the factions almost immediately, but was shocked when Codiac refused to join with him. His kin had grown too fond of life on the road to be tied down so young. The pair parted and Loki joined the the Valearians.
